The creature sucks in large amounts of water. There are little glowing animals distributed in the water. When the creature sucks in water, the purpose is threefold. It digests the little glowing animals that are sucked in together with the water. Then it slowly pushes little amount of water through lateral gills. And finally it uses the water as reaction mass pushing it out through an orifice at its tail by contracting its belly muscles. Fig. 1 Fig. 3 Fig. 4
